Legos!

Goodness! It has been an exciting couple of days!! :) In a good way mostly, but I am sleepy, I'm always sleepy. Did you know that sleeping more on the weekends doesn't actually make up for the sleep that you loss during the work. You actually end up getting a sleep debt which is really sad because its hard to make up for that. Which is why I like to nap on a regular basis. I haven't the last few days and I think it is upsetting me. I am acquiring a sleep debt, no good at all.

It's been a lovely few days, beautiful outside! All sunny and clear and good smelling. Cirque Du Solies ( i think thats how you spell it) is also in town, I really want to go see them. I know some people that did and they said it was just amazing. I am rather jealous, unfair. But i am just a poor college student and can't get a ticket.

Something very exciting that I just found today is that a certain zoo actually made a zoo exhibit out of legos!! hence the title of this post. Its spectacular. :) They made models of certain animals that are extinct. which makes me sad :( I dont want animals to be extinct, I really love them. I love this exhibit because I love legos and I really really love zoos! I frequent mine as much as I can. So cute.

Spectrum

In on of my classes today I learned about refraction and reflection of light. Which led us to do experiments with crystals and light to make rainbows. I just love how rainbows are natural and can be made so simply. They really are lovely. I dislike that class, but working with the color spectrum today just made me gleam with happiness. Light really amazes me, how we see everything is because of light reflecting off of objects. Which makes sense, but it just makes me feel like everything is glowing because it has its own life. That sounds ridiculous I know, but thats how I like to think of it. :)

I also went on a bicycle ride this evening. It was a beautiful day, the kind of day that I would like to associate with spring for the rest of my life. It smells so good, the air is clean and fresh and smells of flowers and fires. I just want to be outside and hit the pause button! so i can experience that feeling forever, because it just fills me up and is wonderful, i get all warm from my tooties to my head and this calm happy feeling comes over me. Just the best. If you have ever read the book confessions of a teenage wallflower i think, they say something like a song once made them feel infinite. I think I get that feeling too and I know what the author meant. Infinite.

I hope everyone can feel infinite sometimes.

My First Day

hi! This is the first day of my blog. :) I really don't have any specific plans for it yet, but I am excited to have one none the less. Hopefully I will have enough interesting thoughts to fill it up and make it lovely.

I'm so giddy to have one of these! it feels like my first day of school, i'm all nervous that people won't like me. But I guess thats okay. I convinced one of my besties to make one with me so at least I will have one follower!

Really, I am just excited to change the layout and the colors and then put pictures of all the things I love in here. so i will start out with one of my favs. Which can be seen up at the top on the left!! :) its portland, I love portland. It's just the best.
